Stormzy was in Dublin earlier this week and left his mark with a blistering gig at the Olympia Theatre. And whilst the grime icon surely left an impression in the hearts of those lucky enough to be in attendance, a more permanent mark has been left in the heart of Dublin city in the form of an impressive mural.

Stormzy won’t be back on Irish soil (at least not in a musical capacity) until July when he takes to the Longitude stage to pay his first Irish music festival headline slot. But in the meantime, we’ve put this guide together to help you get up to date with the Grime star’s look and help you to dress like Stormzy!

The mural in Smithfield Square is based on Stormzy’s iconic ‘Shut Up’ music video, where the man in question is seen wearing a red adidas Originals Superstar track top. This is an iconic piece of streetwear born from the original ‘70s style. It features all the signature details you’d expect with 3-stripes on the sleeves, a Trefoil logo on the chest and a classic ribbed collar. You can take your pick from a wide range of fresh colours available at Life Style Sports to make your own fashion statement.
Like Skepta and other grime icons, Stormzy is a full tracksuit kind of guy. You can go down that road or you can also mix and match with a pair of adidas Originals 84 trackpants to put your own stamp on your look. Direct from the adidas archive, the latest edition track pants give the ’80s favourite a modern spin, featuring doubleknit fabric and finished with the classic 3-Stripes connecting to lines at the back of the knees.

But any new set of threads are only as good as the trainers your pair them with. adidas Originals have been on fire lately, with drop after drop of the freshest kicks around. You can take your pick from a massive selection of new adidas Originals trainers including EQT, XPLR, Climacool and many more. Stormzy has a bit of a soft spot for the iconic adidas Superstar franchise, so that might be the best place to start. The Superstar was born in the 70’s as a basketball shoe, but has since evolved into a street style icon and hip hop mainstay which is an essential for any casual collection. With a timeless black and white colourway, a smooth leather upper and the signature 3 stripes and rubber shell toe, these kicks are as iconic as they come.
